The history of Hobby Lobby

Hobby Lobby is based in Oklahoma City and run by CEO David Green and CFO John Cargill. They employ over 23,000 people.

Their first store was opened in Oklahoma City, and within a year was so popular that they had to move to a larger Hobby Lobby location. Two years later, they opened a second store. Today, it has around 600 stores and has been present in all 50 states since 1992.

The CEO and founder David Green is deeply Christian, so in line with his beliefs Hobby Lobby stores do not open on Sundays. Shoppers may also hear Christian music being played in stores for the same reason.

The Hobby Lobby teaches their customers how to sew with a series of YouTube tutorials on their channel.

Hobby Lobby is known for selling all things arts and crafts, and now they’re also teaching their customers how to sew. They post simple videos on their YouTube channel’s Creative Studio that show tips and tricks for sewing, as well as a few simple projects.

In one video, host Sarah demonstrates how crafters can cut straight lines using rotary cutters, grid rulers, and cutting mats, along with adding in helpful hints for selecting fabric for projects. Sarah also walks customers through choosing the tools they’ll need.

In addition to sewing videos, you can also find videos on their channel covering topics like DIY tutorials and decorating inspiration.
