The history of Vitamin World

Vitamin World was founded in 1960 in New York by a man named Arthur Rudolph. Recently, it was acquired by Center Lane Partners. They have around 450 locations worldwide. Their U.K. stores are operated under the name Holland and Barretts, and they also have a catalog division called Puritans Pride. 

Vitamin World rebrands - and some customers love it! 

Over the years, it's common for stores to change their branding up a bit to keep up with changing tastes and styles. In 2008, Vitamin World decided it was time for their brand to get an update. 

The change centered around a new slogan - "Get Healthy". They also redesigned the store's logo and created a bright rainbow color scheme. All their prodcuts got new labels and colorful bottles that made it easy for customers to see which type of vitamin or supplement they were buying. 

They also started slightly raising their prices and making a big investment in training their employees (the latter which was done to improve their customer satisfaction ratings). The upward shift in prices wasn't as big a hit with their customers, but lots of people felt the store had been overdue for an update and liked it.
