The history of Nine West
Nine West was founded in 1983, and was named after the location its first store opened at (9 West 57th Street, which is located in New York City). It started out as a fashion footwear brand, but over the years they started expanding their offerings to include a wide range of accessories. It was acquired by the Jones Apparel Group in 1999, which is now called Nine West Holdings.
Here are some things you might not know about Nine West
If you've been reading this far, you'll know that Nine West is a great place to shop for accessories! However, at this point we're going to tell you some fun facts that you might not have known about Nine West stores.
Did you know that some major fashion names have worked with them? Starting in 1996, they worked on capsule collections with some very famous designers, like Sophia Kokosalaki, Thakoon, and Vivienne Westwood. Their 2009 collaboration was with New Balance to create cool shoes.
