The history of NAPA

NAPA was founded in 1925 in Detroit when a group of sellers of auto parts decided to join forces. They wanted to help improve the way that auto parts were distributed, as the popularity of motor vehicles was quickly growing.

They didn't open their first NAPA location until 1936, which was a store they bought in Atlanta. Its owner had thought the auto industry had already peaked. Turns out, it definitely . hadn't!

Today, there are over 16,000 NAPA AutoCar Center locations, as well as 6,000 stores.

NAPA shows its customers how to get the job done

If you're going to be buying auto parts, then you're either going to need to pay somebody to install them for you or figure out how to do it yourself. NAPA helps its customers do the second by providing tons of helpful tips on their blog.

The blog is called the "NAPA Know How Blog", and you can find it at knowhow.napaonline.com. They share regular articles that will help you do just about any repair when it comes to your car.

For instance, they have a post that details "The best work lights for getting the job done." They can also help you with "Understanding your vehicle's ABS (anti-lock braking system)", or to with "Repair 101: Replacing side view mirrors."

They also have articles such as "Car repair tips and tricks: When to avoid them" to help DIY enthusiasts figure out if it's a good idea or not to try to fix their own cars!
