Don't forget to add them to your favorite retailers here on Tiendeo either!
The history of Lids
Lids, which is operated by Hat World Inc. and may show up as LIDS or Hat World, started out in 1995. It was founded in Indianapolis, Indiana. In just its first five years of being open, the store had sold more than 6,000 hats.
Genesco Inc. acquired the store in 2004, and it still operates under them. Today, there are over 1,100 Lids locations.
How are you supposed to clean hats?
Hats are a tricky thing to clean! After all, you probably don't just want to throw them in the washing machine with the rest of your clothes. They're made out of fabrics that might not stand up well to being washed, and they often have delicate embroidery or details that probably wouldn't fare well, either.
That's why Lids has a special line of hat cleaners so you can get your hats looking all fresh and clean without running the risk of putting them in the washing machine. They sell a product called "Cap Cleaner and Deodorizer", which does exactly what it says. It'll get all the grit and grime out of your favorite hats.
Spray your hat, then let the cleanser soak in for about 15 minutes. Then, you'll need to use a bit of warm water, unless your hat is made out of wool (in that case, use cool water). Gently scrub the hat with a clean sponge, and let it air dry. Done!
