Johnston & Murphy makes a splash with its advertising
These days, there are so many brands out there getting really creative with their advertising to stand out amongst the crowd. One brand that's done a great job of creating dynamic and innovative campaigns in Johnston & Murphy!
One of their biggest campaigns was the XC4 campaign, which is their line of comfort shoes for men. The initials stand for "extreme comfort" and refer to the 4 elements that make their shoes extra comfy (light weight, extra cushioning, removable insoles, and moister-wicking properties). So, to get people talking about their brand, they asked people to participate in the Ultimate Comfort Contest by sharing their most uncomfortable moments.
Earlier in their history, they ran a series of "handsome lifestyle" advertisements that caught shoppers' attention in upscale magazines like The Saturday Evening Post and Vanity Fair. They're no strangers to creating great campaigns!
