Fuddruckers was founded in 1979 by Philip J. Romano, though originally it was called Freddie Fuddruckers before being shortened. The idea was to give the world a better hamburger. Today, there are over 220 Fuddruckers locations, and there are many stores abroad, includng in Canada, Mexico, Chile, Italy, Lebanon, Morroco, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Poland, Bahrain, and the Dominican Republic.
