The history of Buckle
Buckle was originally called Mills Clothing, and it was founded in 1948 by David Hirschfeld in Kearney, Nebraska. David's son Dan took over the store in 1965. Two years later, he opened up a second location and changed the name to Brass Buckle. This was eventually shortened to just Buckle.
Some fun facts you probably didn't know about Buckle
Even if you love to shop about Buckle, there's probably lots about the store that you never knew! That's why the stores posted an entry on their official blog called "10 Things You Didn't Know About Buckle."
As the name went from The Brass Buckle to The Buckle to just plain Buckle, there's a joke in the stores that their name will end up just being "B" at some point.
Did you know they offer personal one-on-one shopping consultations? It's called "Get Fitted", and you can request them for anything, from changing up your entire closet to finding the perfect winter sweater.
A lot of their stores have their own personal Instagram accounts. That means instead of a general brand channel, there are lots of small channels specialized to your local Buckle location. They also Snapchat over at buckleofficial.
