The history of Kirkland's
Kirkland's is named after its founder, Carl Kirkland. He founded the store in 1966 with the aim of selling home furnishings to customers at accessible prices. The first store was located in Jackson, Tennessee, and today its headquarters aren't too far away - they're in Brentwood, Tennesse.
Kirkland's one store became so succesful that it started growing and growing. Today, there are around 300 Kirkland's locations across 30 different states. You'll probably see them in a few more pretty soon, because they've got plans to keep on expanding.
Kirkland's helps critically ill children every year

The Charley Foundation is a non-profit that works to improve children's quality of life in general. Their camp is in Scottsville, Kentucky, and provides weekend retreats for chidlren who are seriously ill. The idea is to help them forget about their illnesses and just focus on having fun alongside their parents and siblings. It also fosters connections between families going through the same thing.
Kirkland's works to help send children to have this wonderful experience. One of the ways they raise money is by designing holiday ornaments to sell to their customers. For the sale of each ornament, they donate $1 of the proceeds to the foundation.
